General Manager

Canadian Cooperative Wool Growers Limited

Hours: Full-time, Permanent Monday - Friday, with occasional travel

Start Date: Immediate

Salary Range: $95 - 100K per annum

The Role:

Key Responsibilities include:

Act as primary spokesperson for the Co-operative at industry meetings, by answering phone calls, and initiating or responding to email communications.

Oversee the retail business by staying abreast of store performance and functioning

Provide leadership and direction to staff

Assist with idea generation and problem solving

Oversee the onboarding of new staff and uphold company policies

Handle communications with bankers and lenders, shareholders, retail managers, and board of directors

Team up with the lead accountant to oversee the financial performance of the Co-operative

Prepare and present profit/loss reports and annual budget

Ensure accurate financial records and reports are being generated by the accounting team in time to facilitate year end auditing processes

Participate in regular board meetings. Address minor operational concerns, and communicate with the board of directors on major concerns and decision making

Develop business strategies that bolster the Co-operative and are profitable

Be an example of integrity, honesty and good work ethic
